HillsRUs rolls weekly on Wednesdays

Route often includes Hwy 9, Page Mill, Old La Honda, Kings Mountain, West Alpine or Tunitas Creek. Always be prepared for variable weather on Skyline. Foul weather in the hills keeps the ride in the valley.

Start location and route announced Monday prior, via wwbc-rides email list and this page (scroll down to the blog).

Meet at 8:45 AM and roll at 9:00 AM departure. DE riders will depart first, C+ will follow.

Ride Leaders rotate weekly - Don Johann, Shawnery Hardin, Jack Jones and Steve Rempel, with guest appearances by Michael Khaw, Gary Virshup, Cathy Switzer, and others.

    We’ve turned over a new page on the calendar, it’s time for the first 2020 HRU up Page Mill. We'll drop into the frozen tundra of West Alpine, a steady climb up 84 and West Old La Honda.

    Lunch at the now-closed store in La Honda, hope that the tables and chairs are still there.

    Rain today and maybe tomorrow. Thus today's ride is cancelled and rescheduled for Friday at 10AM departure at Shoup Park. The later start will give the roads more time to dry.

    Tour Around Los Altos/Portola Hills

    It looks like rain for Wed so lets do a ride for rainy days: Quinn Hill, Mora, Blandor, Moody, Footill Park, Westridge, La Cresta 30 miles, 3200 feet. Bring a snack for Foothills Park.

    If Wed is nice I will think of an option to extend this at the start. We can decide then.

    If it is raining on Wed, for those interested we could do it on Thursday and easily finish by noon.
