WWBC E-mail Lists
Western Wheelers has TWO e-mail lists. Both are open to the public, but you must be a subscriber to view topics online.:
“wwbc-RIDES” is only for information about club rides/events WW members can join this list to get updates about ride additions/changes/cancellations.
“wwbc” is for those who are interested in discussions or receiving/exchanging messages about general biking topics.

Each list has a specific use – DO NOT POST YOUR MESSAGE TO BOTH LISTS!
1. The "wwbc-RIDES" email list may be used ONLY for the following:To SUBSCRIBE:
If you have an "@gmail.com" email address:
For the “wwbc-RIDES” list:
No self-subscription for this list...Email your request to: listowner@westernwheelers.org. Specify which list(s) you want to be on and what delivery option you are choosing (see information on available delivery options below).
For the “wwbc” list:
Send a blank/empty email message to: wwbc+subscribe@bikesiliconvalley.org Then you will get an email requesting you to confirm your subscription.
If you do not have an "@gmail.com" email address (or you are "computer challenged"):
Email your request to: listowner@westernwheelers.org. Specify which list(s) you want to be on and what delivery option you are choosing (see information on available delivery options below).
To UNSUBSCRIBE:
Send a blank message to: wwbc-RIDES+unsubscribe@bikesiliconvalley.org or use the "unsubscribe" link that is at the bottom of every email from the list.

You can also simply email your un-subscription request to: listowner@westernwheelers.org

To Post a Message to the Lists:
**Remember that when you post a message it is sent to hundreds of people, so make sure your message is appropriate and clear. Posting of inappropriate messages will result in moderation of your posts or removal from the email list.**
Send your email message to the correct address:
wwbc-RIDES@bikesiliconvalley.org (WW ride information only)
wwbc@bikesiliconvalley.org (General bike related topics/discussion)
Note: Most email systems (like Gmail) do not send you back a copy of your message. If you want to check and make sure your message was delivered see the “Archives” links below.
There are THREE DELIVERY OPTIONS:
1. Immediate (you receive each message immediately after it is posted)
2. Daily Digest (you receive a digest once per day of all posted messages)
3. No Emails (you receive no notification but can post messages and read all messages online – see “Archives” below)
Note: If you receive messages from the email list in a "daily digest" you WILL NOT get an immediate message when a ride is cancelled.
To CHANGE YOUR DELIVERY OPTIONS (immediate, daily digest, or no emails/read posts online):

For the "wwbc-RIDES" list go to: https://groups.google.com/a/bikesiliconvalley.org/forum/#!forum/wwbc-RIDES and click on the "My Settings" button in the upper right corner.
For the "wwbc" list go to: https://groups.google.com/a/bikesiliconvalley.org/forum/#!forum/wwbc and click on the "My Settings" button in the upper right corner.
If you do not have an "@gmail.com" email address (or you are "computer challenged"), simply email your request to: listowner@westernwheelers.org
ARCHIVES: This is where anyone who is a subscriber of the list (and logged in) can view messages/topics. Subscribers to the email list can also post messages here if they have an "@gmail.com" email address and are logged in. Non-subscribers cannot view the topics online.
