CD/6(6700)/47
This route takes us to the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest (el. 10,100') in Inyo National Forest. This is a very big day to cycle up to the old wood in the heavens of White Mountain. The Inyo Mountains are not heavily forested, so you can see the whole thing start to finish and gaze down on the Palisade Glaciers of the Sierra. SHORT/EZ START options meet half way up the climb at White Mountain Road junction. There is small spring at mile 8.3 of long route (may or may not be active). NOTE: VISITOR CENTER CLOSED Mon-Weds Carry your lunch and a lot of water on the ride. This ride is co-listed with ACTC.
