We’ll follow some remote (paved) ranching roads south through Choice Valley starting from the James Dean Monument in Cholame, 24 miles east of Paso Robles (location of his fatal crash in 1955). This route has no services, so pack lunch/snacks/water.

START: Meet at 9:15 am for a 9:30 start at the James Dean Monument on Highway 46 24 miles east of Paso Robles. No restrooms/water at the start, but there is a new REST AREA five miles before the Monument.
