Join Fredo Cirne (walfredo.cirne@gmail.com, 408-931-4133) on Saturday July 27th for a loop around the valley, going from Bay to the Hills. We meet at 8:15 for an 8:30 departure in the Burgess Park in Menlo Park (parking lot at Alma St and Burgess Dr).
This is a scenic gravel ride by the Bay, with few cars even when we are on paved roads. We start going to the Bay and head south, sometimes pedaling through trails with water on both sides, until Sunnyvale. We then take the path less pedaled towards the Hills for a little bit of climbing. Lunch at the Treehouse in Stanford, near the end of the ride. Feel free to take your own food, if you prefer.
This ride is great fun, but keep in mind it contains a good amount of gravel. I'd recommend a gravel, MTB or city bike with 38mm tires or more. That said, if you are comfortable doing gravel with skinny 28mm tires, all the power to you!
