2022 Sequoia Volunteers

Registration

  • During The Sequoia, if the need arises contact me to see if I'm available. The available positions (if any) don't work for me but I might be able to help the day of the event. Check with me by phone, text, or email.
  • Laydown RouteArrows marking route segments east of Skyline Blvd
  • Laydown Route Arrows to mark route segments west of Skyline Blvd
  • Sell socks Saturday, between 11:00 am - 7:00 pm PM at Bicycle Outfitters during rider check-in. And, Sunday between 12:30 and 5:30 at the Finish Line. Be in the thick of the action!

    The club has the cash box, credit card reader and training on PayPal transactions (if needed) for you.

  • Register and check in riders at Bicycle Outfitters

  • Post Sequoia 2022 information and activities on WWBC Facebook account to attract and engage riders.
  • You must be a licensed HAM operator with your own portable radio to fill this position. Please add your callsign after your last name when signing up.
  • Certified Medical Professional or First Responder to provide First-Aid advice as needed.
  • Come help set up the finish line signs, markers, flags, decorations, and other amenities. Randall and Scott have made a lightweight arch to be assembled with balloons. Lifting of less than 20lbs, and a little squatting & stooping involved. Scott will do the heavy lifting.

Volunteers are what make The Sequoia a great cycling event and the Western Wheelers a great club. It takes a village to provide a ride.

The Sequoia, Sunday, June 5 - the team of Sequoia volunteers -- 200 strong -- are charged up this week.  Many thanks go the stalwart volunteers -- many of whom took multiple jobs -- for making The Sequoia possible. See the Full list of Volunteers for 2022.

SIGN UP TO BE ON CALL on Sunday, June 5

If you are  available on Sunday, June 5, you can sign up for "0000 Call me if you need me." If something comes up, you may be offered a job which you may accept or refuse. You'll be "On call."

Scroll all the way down to the bottom of this page.  Click on the [Register] button in the lower left corner.

After you finish registering for a job, you can register again for another job or shift. Click [Register] , then [New Registration].

Sequoia Volunteers who signed up before May 15 get a Sequoia 2022 worker's t-shirt. If you signed up after May 15, you might not have a choice of sizes.
