This week HillsRUs will go to Santa Cruz again. This time we will depart from Lexington Reservoir and cross the mountains to Capitola. After checking out the views of the ocean we will head to Corrlitos for lunch before climbing through the beautiful Eureka Canyon and back to Summit Road and Old Santa Cruz Hwy.

Starting Location: Parking Lot .3 mi past the dam at Lexington Reservoir. There is now a $6 fee to park there (Credit/Debit Card). There is also a dirt area across the street from the parking lot that can handle about 6 cars.

Directions: take the Bear Creek Rd exit off of Hwy 17, go across Hwy 17 and turn left like you were getting on 17. Take Alma Bridge Rd and go .6 mi to the parking lot just past the dam

Start Time: be there by 8:45 for a 8:45 to 9 am departure.

Elevation: 4,900 feet
Lunch: Bring or Buy to eat at the park across from Corralitos Market

Do not join club rides if you are sick (e.g. cough, sore throat, fever, loss of smell). Riders must maintain a safe distance (minimum six feet) from each other. No drafting, pace lines, spitting or blowing noses into the air during rides. All riders must have a face covering (e.g. mask, bandana, neck gaiter/buff or other without vents) to be worn at the start of each ride and whenever you are not able to maintain six feet of distance from anyone outside your household (e.g. during regroups).

There is risk in all gatherings, since people without symptoms can transmit COVID-19. Participation in club rides is voluntary. Members assume the full and complete risk that is associated with exposure to and infection by COVID-19 during such participation. Please note that in the event Western Wheelers is asked by the department of public health for a list of riders participating in any club ride for purposes of COVID-19 exposure tracing, Western Wheelers will comply with such requests.
