LDT RIDE: MT. HAMILTON
Join us for this wonderful Memorial Day finish to the LDT ride series. Mt Hamilton is a long, but not steep, climb with wonderful panoramic views and great spring wildflowers. All routes start with a loop through Alum Rock Park, then climb directly to the summit. B riders have separate riding group, but same route and start time/location as C riders. Only the E’s cross over the summit and enjoy the exciting descent to the Isabel Creek Bridge on the back side of Mt. Hamilton, then return to the summit. All groups have a quick snack/lunch at the summit, then descend back to the start. On the return trip D’s and E’s add a beautiful “out-and-back” spur on traffic free Kincaid Road. PACK YOUR LUNCH – NO FOOD AVAILABLE. Be prepared for warm temperatures on the way up and cold temperatures on the way down. Rain cancels. Online route sheets/maps/gps.
