BC/2.5/19-23 PRE-TURKEY WARM UP

While our traditional Thanksgiving celebrations may be on hold due to COVID, let's enjoy our traditional pre-turkey ride!

Join Guy Shuman and Mindy Steiner (shumansteiner@gmail.com) for the traditional Thanksgiving jaunt through Los Altos Hills to burn off some pre-holiday meal calories (and maybe earn that extra slice of pie!). Separate B and C groups. The C ride adds a few moderate hills to the route. Social pace with regroups. No lunch, but coffee in Los Altos after the ride. Meet at Shoup Park in Los Altos at 10:00 am for 10:15 departure. Rain cancels. Route Sheets/GPS Maps.

Do not join club rides if you are sick (cough, sore throat, fever, loss of smell).  All riders must have a face covering (mask, bandana, neck gaiter/buff or other without vent) to be worn at the start of each ride and whenever stopped (eg during regroups).  Riders must maintain a safe distance (minimum six feet) from each other.  No drafting, pace lines, spitting or blowing noses into the air during rides.  All riders are expected to have read the current San Mateo & Santa Clara Health Orders and stay in compliance in regards to social distancing and face coverings.  For rides outside of San Mateo and Santa Clara counties, refer to full guidelines for applicable county health orders.

ORDER No. c19-11 OF THE HEALTH OFFICER OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO DIRECTING ALL INDIVIDUALS IN THE COUNTY TO LIMIT GATHERINGS TO

There is risk in all gatherings, since people without symptoms can transmit COVID-19.  Participation in club rides is voluntary.  Members assume the full and complete risk that is associated with exposure to and infection by COVID-19 during such participation.  Please note that in the event Western Wheelers is asked by the department of public health for a list of riders participating in any club ride for purposes of Covid-19 exposure tracing, Western Wheelers will comply with such requests.
