  • Sun, August 09, 2020
  • 8:15 AM
  • Calero Park San Vicente Parking Area (on McKean Road btn Fortini and Rakstad Rds)

Join John (jdeven@johndevenphotography.com) and Khuyen (khuyen.huynh@yahoo.comor text 408-464-6713) for an easy MTB (mountain bike) ride through Rancho San Vicente and Calero Parks in South San Jose. Meet at 8:15AM for a 8:30AM start. This is the longest possible loop in Rancho San Vicente and Calero (~9.5 miles). The trails are a mix of fire roads and wide singletrack. There are no technical sections, and the climbs are very gentle, which makes it a good place for beginners. Faster riders welcome to go ahead. There are nice views of the Calero Reservoir on the second half of the trail. Bring a mountain bike (road won't work in this terrain), plenty of water and snacks (no lunch stop). We will provide cold drinks and some eats post ride. There are flushing bathrooms and water at the start. Please load the route to your bike computer in advance of the ride, as route sheets will NOT be provided at the start: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/33626107
