B/3 (1500')/25 OVER THE HILL TO THE CITY PUB

Join Ken Lum (lum40@comcast.net, and Home: 1-650-508-1879, Cell: 1-650-832-8133) at the Safeway parking lot at Sharon Park in Menlo Park at 9:50 am for a 10:05 am departure for a climb over Emerald Hills to an outdoor lunch at the City Pub in Redwood City. We will start in the parking lot of the Sharon Park Shopping Center near the entrance across from the Shell gas station so as not to interfere with customer parking. Ride ends around 2 PM. Masks are recommended in SM Co. but not mandatory to wear during the ride. Please at least have one in your accessories bag to use in case of need. Social distancing will be practiced as much as possible. Rain cancels.

Do not join club rides if you are sick (cough, sore throat, fever, loss of smell).  All riders must have a face covering (mask, bandana, buff or other without vent) to be worn at the start of each ride and whenever stopped (eg during regroups).  Riders must maintain a safe distance from each other.  No drafting, pace lines, spitting or blowing noses into the air (aka snot rockets) during rides.  All riders are expected to have read the current San Mateo Health Order and stay in compliance in regards to social distancing and face coverings: https://www.smchealth.org/sites/main/files/file-attachments/ho_order_c19-11_20200617.pdf?1592431253

There is risk in all gatherings, since people without symptoms can transmit COVID-19.  Participation in club rides is voluntary.  Members assume the full and complete risk that is associated with exposure to and infection by COVID-19 during such participation.  Please note that in the event Western Wheelers is asked by the department of public health for a list of riders participating in any club ride for purposes of Covid-19 exposure tracing, Western Wheelers will comply with such requests.
