On Sunday morning, we will lead another ride from Squaw Valley along the Truckee River, beside Lake Tahoe, and into Blackwood Canyon and onto Barker Pass. This ride is rated as BC/2.7(2250’)/33. (D/E options are available for both rides, as well as the TdM.)
Winter is the high season and summer the low season at Tahoe-Donner. Literally, hundreds of mountain homes are available for rent for the TdM weekend at incredibly low prices. We suggest that you form or join an affinity group of 4-8 people and rent one of these places for the weekend by visiting Airbnb or googling Tahoe-Donner vacation rentals. It’s way cheaper and more fun than any Holiday Inn.
