Meet Alan Wachtel (alan.wachtel@gmail.com, 650 996-2218) and the monster beanies at 9:30 AM at Gunn High School in Palo Alto. This traditional Halloween ride stops at local historical sites, where your guide will recount spooky stories he hopes you'll find both informative and entertaining. Riders are optionally encouraged to wear costumes that are safe for bicycling, dress in traditional Halloween colors, or decorate their bikes.

This is a short ride in distance, but it's slow and socially-paced, with stops for sightseeing. That means we might not finish till mid-afternoon, but you're welcome to join us for as much or as little of the ride as you like. Rain reschedules.
