SOLVANG – FIGUEROA MOUNTAIN LOOP

Figueroa Mountain looms high above the Solvang Valley. BC riders do an out-n-back to the lower stretches of the climb, with an optional after lunch jaunt on lower section of Figueroa Mountain Road. C+ and D riders do the full loop, with D riders doing a longer version starting in Solvang and C+ riders starting in Los Olivos. C+/D riders pack lunch and bring plenty of water. NOTE: Full loop riders are REQUIRED to carry minimum of 3 full water bottles! Full loop riders will be rewarded with incredible views but must be prepared for steep descents on rough roads! There is also a one mile stretch of fairly rough gravel road (ascending) on the C+ and D routes – USE CAUTION! (BC route turns around at the start of the gravel section.)

D START: Meet at 9:15 am for a 9:30 start at Vinland Hotel in Solvang (1455 Mission Drive, Solvang).
