Hello Taco Thursday Tour riders!
The 6th "T T T" will be scenic and easy as it travels over the Dumbarton Bridge and back and over two thirds is on car-free trails and paths!
This Thursday's ride (4/17) will again start from SV Bike Exchange, at 3961 East Bayshore Road, their parking lot is behind the building, accessed off Corporation Way. Gather by 9:45 for a 10am roll out. This is a friendly ride at a social pace with plenty of regroups and the taco stop is before mile 20. The weather on Thursday looks great with temps in the low 70's and no rain!
The route will make a beeline for the "Dumbo Bridge" via the Bay Trail then travel north along the edge of the SF Bay into the Coyote Hills Regional Park! This 4-mile portion is on a hard packed dirt levee, with expansive views out west over the water. It is totally flat and very ridable, so wide tires are not necessary. We then travel east into the park on paved trails for a Regroup with restrooms and a bike station.
I have not checked in the last few days, but we should see a descent wildflower display on the green hills there if we get lucky! The next few miles travel through Newark and the Ardenwood Historic Farm, then down to the Taco stop on Jarvis Ave. They have plentiful outdoor seating, and delicious menu options. The return trip closes the loop back through the Don Edwards SF Bay National Wildlife Refuge, over the Dumbarton and back via the Bay Trail to SVBE!

What is a “Thaco Thursday Tour” and what’s it all about?
Get ready for a NEW bi-monthly group ride series brought to you by Western Wheelers and Silicon Valley Bicycle Exchange! Starting on Thursday, February 6th, this exciting series will Start and Finish each ride at the Silicon Valley Bike Exchange (SVBE), located at 3961 East Bayshore Road, Palo Alto, just north of San Antonio Road.
We created this series to bring together cyclists to enjoy delicious tacos while supporting small local businesses and exploring the area’s bike-friendly paths, trails, and bridges. We also highlight some unique local history and our beautiful scenery, maybe we’ll discover some new things, and of course, we’ll have fun cycling together too!

The week's ride route will be posted to the Western Wheelers ride calendar on the Monday before the ride. Along with the route info and description, we’ll have Links to the Ride with GPS route and a PDF to print your own (old school) cue sheet too. Randall will bring 1 or 2 of those Maps and Q’s if anyone forgot theirs, just in case.
