Lunch for C riders is at Ray's Deli outside Petaluma - service is VERY slow at Ray's so please pre-order your lunch online (or pack lunch). You can order anytime on SATURDAY (not before). Go to: https://www.rays-deli.com/menus Expected rider arrival time is C+ = 11:45 / C- = 12:15. (Alternative is Petaluma Creamery 2 blocks further on Western Avenue). B and E riders stop for lunch in Tomales or at the Cheese Factory. D riders stop in Point Reyes Station.
LDT RIDE: PETALUMA
Enjoy beautiful views of Marin County from scenic rolling roads, along with some moderate climbs including Wilson Hill. All riders take local roads and bike paths to Stafford Lake Park and Point Reyes Petaluma Road. C riders climb Wilson Hill and then continue to Petaluma for lunch at Ray’s Deli, while B riders lunch at the Marin Cheese Factory. D’s and E’s climb over the “Marshall Wall” to Tamales Bay, with D’s turning south to lunch at Point Reyes Station and E riders taking a longer loop to the north with lunch options in Tomales or at the Cheese Factory. C route has short and long options for returning from Petaluma - see route maps/route sheets for details. Easy shortcut on B route skips Wilson Hill – see route sheet. Rain cancels. MEETING TIME: 9:45 am for 10:00 departure
MEETING LOCATION: Marin County Civic Center (Armory Drive, San Rafael, CA). From the Golden Gate Bridge take 101 north approximately 14 miles to North San Pedro Road. Exit eastbound, and turn left at Civic Center Drive (first stop light). Turn right onto Armory Drive which leads into the large parking lot.
