This Ride has been MOVED from Wednesday!!!

The forecast now shows a high chance of rain on Wednesday. Even if it doesn't rain, it will be overcast and cold. The weather on Tuesday is expected to be sunny, with the high being a pleasant 71º. So the ride around Tahoe is moved to Tuesday.

Please register for this ride, so we can coordinate and keep participants informed about any changes.

It's been on our bucket list to do the ride around Lake Tahoe. So come and ride the Most Beautiful Bike Ride in America route with Mona, me, and other Western Wheelers. We'll ride around Lake Tahoe clockwise, starting from the Tahoe City Transit Center. The lake will be on our right. Lunch stop in South Lake Tahoe at Sprouts Cafe. People may want to order ahead of time for pick up.

I will be doing this ride at a C- pace. If there is interest, a C+ and/or D group will be formed to do the ride at a faster pace.

By doing this ride midweek in October, the hope is that there will be minimal number of cars on the road. The weather in October can vary. Come prepared for cold weather, especially first thing in the morning. If rain is forecast, the ride will be cancelled or possibly moved to a different day of the week.

A few people in the club have vacation homes in Truckee or Tahoe, so there may be a limited number of spots for participants to stay with them. Use the registration form to offer spots or to inquire about possible spots. If you have bedrooms to offer, I will give you the list of participants looking for a spot and you can invite whom you please. There are several hotels in Truckee and Tahoe City, see the suggestions below.
