Forecast still shows pretty good weather until about 3 pm. Riders should expect the chance of some stray showers. Be sure to pack your lunch (and a rain jacket for possible showers).

ALL GROUPS MEET ONE HOUR EARLIER AT 8:45 FOR 9:00 START
The incoming rain is now expected a little earlier. We moved the start one hour earlier to give a better chance for dry weather.
MODIFICATION OF C ROUTE
C Riders will do the "shortcut version" (see .pdf route sheet), saving 5 miles at the start of the ride. (Shortcut: turn LEFT on San Andreas then LEFT on Bonita.) Riders have the option to do the skipped section at the end of the ride if the weather remains good.

WEATHER UPDATE
Ride is currently ON. The forecast looks good, with a chance of stray showers during the day, but no organized rain until Saturday evening. It will be cool, with temperatures in the mid 50's. Pack a rain jacket, but it looks good for riding at this time.
IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR GIZDICH LUNCH
Due to some construction going on at Gizdich Ranch, there will be no lunches available this weekend! They will have whole pies available for purchase and pint containers of ice cream (as well as drinks/plates/forks/etc.), so plan on sharing a whole pie to get your sugar fix. For this reason, riders should plan on packing lunch for Saturday. The restrooms and picnic area will be open.

Come see Monterey Bay and the scenic apple orchards of Corralitos. Our route includes Aptos Beach, Hames Road, and Brown’s Valley to lunch at Gizdich Ranch apple orchards. Return via Larkin Valley Road. E riders follow an extended after lunch loop to San Miguel Canyon. Rain cancels. Online route sheets/maps/gps.

MEETING TIME: 9:45 am for 10:00 departure
MEETING LOCATION: Meet at corner of Sumner Ave and Via Soderini (216 Via Soderini, Aptos). Take Highway 17 to Highway 1 South. Follow Highway 1 South about 10 miles. Exit right on San Andreas Rd.; turn right at Seascape Blvd.; turn left on Sumner Ave to Via Soderini. Park curbside along Sumner Avenue on either side of street. Restrooms and water available at park across railroad tracks.
