C-/1 (500')/60 DUMBARTON SOUTH BAY LOOP.

Meet Jonathan Penn (jonpenn@gmail.com, (650) 544-7270) at 8:45 AM at Redwood Shores (Oracle Bridge parking lot). Join us for a long, but flat and casual-paced ride across and around the south bay. We leave from Redwood Shores, travel south on the bay side of Hwy 101 and then cross the Dumbarton. From there, we continue hugging the bay 'clockwise' on some flat quiet (on weekends) streets passing a few office parks skirting around Fremont. After that, we join up with the Coyote Creek Trail, Stevens Creek Trail, and Adobe Creek Trail to get us around the bay and back to the west end of Dumbarton. From there, we'll head into downtown Redwood City for lunch and then a short ride back to the start.

Note: As this is a long ride with lunch near the end (mile 55), please bring whatever is a sufficient amount of snack food for you to keep energized through the ride. Water/restrooms are available at Start, Mile 15, Mile 33, Mile 40, and at lunch. Lunch suggestions: Sandwich Spot, La Cocina de la Abuela, and many other options nearby.

Directions to start: From Highway 101 and Ralston/Marine Parkway exit, head east on Marine Parkway, left onto Oracle Parkway, then immediate left into parking lot. Overflow spaces are available 1/4-mile down Oracle Parkway at Design Tech High School. Rain cancels.
