The following is just a summary. Details were in the event announcement email sent out to all club members.
We're looking for around 10 volunteers with basic mechanical skills to assemble 3 to 5 kid's 20" coaster-brake bicycles (front rim brake, no training wheels) at home for Turning Wheels for Kids to donate to charities to give away to underprivileged kids. You'll have about 2–5 days to complete the task depending on when you pick up and when you return the bikes.
Pickup dates are Tu 11/17 and We 11/18, noon–9pm. Return dates are Fr 11/20 and Su 11/22, noon–9 pm.
Bikes can be picked up/returned in Sunnyvale near Lawrence and Monroe/Reed at Russ Hull's home, or if you don't have a vehicle large enough for transport and live within a 15-mile radius of Highway 85 and Prospect Road in Saratoga, Fran Williams has volunteered to bring boxes to and/or pick up assembled bikes. (Contact information will be in your event registration confirmation).
