B/3/34 Sharon Park to Laurelwood Park

Join Ken Lum (Cell: 650-832-8133, Home: 650-508-1879, Email: lum40@comcast.net) for a ride up Cañada Rd. and a climb up De Anza Blvd. to Laurelwood Park in San Mateo for a beautiful view of the park canyon. Then we take a trail through the park down to Esposto’s deli near Hwy 92 and El Camino for a socially distanced outdoor lunch. Social distancing will also be observed during the ride. Masks recommended but not mandated during the ride. Bring one with you as it will be needed at lunch. Meet at the Safeway parking lot in Sharon Heights at 9:50am for a 10:05 departure.  Back via the flats. We will finish around 2:00-2:30 PM. Rain cancels.

Do not join club rides if you are sick (cough, sore throat, fever, loss of smell).  All riders must have a face covering (mask, bandana, buff or other without vent) to be worn at the start of each ride and whenever stopped (eg during regroups).  Riders must maintain a safe distance from each other.  No drafting, pace lines, spitting or blowing noses into the air during rides.  All riders are expected to have read the current San Mateo Health Order and stay in compliance in regards to social distancing and face coverings: https://www.smchealth.org/sites/main/files/file-attachments/ho_order_c19-1d_ltc_revised_20200714.pdf?1594827058

There is risk in all gatherings, since people without symptoms can transmit COVID-19.  Participation in club rides is voluntary.  Members assume the full and complete risk that is associated with exposure to and infection by COVID-19 during such participation.  Please note that in the event Western Wheelers is asked by the department of public health for a list of riders participating in any club ride for purposes of Covid-19 exposure tracing, Western Wheelers will comply with such requests.
