EASTERN SIERRAS – GLACIER LODGE

C/7(3800’)/21;

CD/6(7800’)/56

This gorgeous dramatic route takes us west into the Sierras from Big Pine up Glacier Lodge Road (el. 7,800'), a favorite starting point for rock climbers. The 10 mile climb has some long stretches of 8-10%, so take it slow! There is water available at a campground near the top and snacks are available at the top at Glacier Lodge. Lunch is at the end of the ride in Big Pine. LONG OPTION: Stronger riders can add on the Death Valley/Waucoba Canyon ride which goes east from Big Pine through beautiful high desert country (no services on the Death Valley addition!). This ride is co-listed with ACTC.
