We have exciting additions & changes coming in 2017.
The Sequoia is well known as one of the most challenging rides anywhere and for 2017 we've upped it a notch or two! So all our riders will earn their bragging rights, all four routes are over 100ft/mile! As a bonus, all riders will be traversing this amazingly beautiful area, right out of the box!
Four New Routes: 100 mi./10k', 72 mi./7.7k', 64 mi./6.9k', and 44 mi./5.5k'!
NEW THIS YEAR: Each route has a maximum rider limit so when that route fills, that route will close.
100 mile = 300 riders, 72 mile = 300 riders, 64 mile = 200 riders, 44 mile = 200 riders.
All 4 routes ascend Moody to Page Mill Rd, continue up and over Skyline then descend on west Alpine through vistas from open ridges to deep redwoods then out to our famous La Honda Rest Stop. You'll travel past lush valleys with farms and ranches and quiet coast-side towns overlooking the blue Pacific. After La Honda, the routes travel in three different directions to reduce congestion, both on roads and in Rest Stops. The routes also return back over Skyline via three different roads to reduce congestion and our impact on the area. Rider safety is the number one goal.
The 100 mile has 6 additions/extensions but if you trim off any one of them, you'll fall below the prestigious 10,000 ft elevation gain achievement. This route will be a test of both body and mind, but the rewards will be yours to keep for years! 7 rest stops provided. Pink RouteArrows
The 72 mile is a classic loop, with all the beautiful coast-side scenery, the fun climbs and descents and no options to cut any corners! 6 rest stops provided. The two longer routes both return over the beautiful Tunitas Creek climb and enjoy the Kings Mtn. Rd descent before returning back to the start at Foothill College! Orange RouteArrows
The 64 mile travels west to San Gregorio, south to Pescadero, then east into the cool Redwoods. New this year! After a new 4th rest stop location, you'll travel 5.5 miles of hard pack gravel road closed to cars! Then a very rewarding yet challenging ascent out of Portola Redwoods SP, back over Skyline and descend Page Mill and Altamont back to Foothill. Recommend for skilled riders with good brakes and low gears and without skinny tires. (28's+ should be fine) 5 Rest stops provided. Yellow RouteArrows
The 44 mile returns right back over Skyline after La Honda to a new stop in Portola Valley then ascends into the very challenging Upper Alpine canyon before returning to Foothill and a NEW fun finish line gathering! 3 rest stops provided. Green RouteArrows.

Awesome ride!!! Definitely doing this again next year and hopefully more years to come....The rest stops are great. - Rasco
Great event, outstanding support that made a difficult route doable even for first time Sequoia Century rider like me. Highly recommended. See you next year! - Roland
This is a great Century ride - scenery, great food, beautiful roads and a nice amount of challenging climbing. The rest stop at the top of Tunitas - with a coke and a smile was great.....the post-ride food was excellent. - Carolyn
