Our signature route (same as 2017) is a breathtakingly beautiful 100 mile journey with a challenging ten thousand ft gain! You’ll enjoy miles of forested climbs, ridge top vistas, cool redwood canyons and bucolic coastal agricultural lands. This route provides what some call “cycling perfection” with 7 generously supported and well placed Rest Stops, the pleasant coastal towns of La Honda, San Gregorio and Pescadero, a quick tour out past Pigeon Pt Lighthouse and the stunning climbs on Page Mill, upper Alpine/Joaquin and Tunitas Creek. There are three “bail-out” options to test your tenacity, and again this year, we’ll have a “Fun Finish” at our out-of-the-way site at Foothill College to reward your resolve! 100 mi Ride w/GPS Map and Profile Rider Cap: 500 Registration Fee: $120.
Also returning from 2017, our 72 mile route is truly stunning with no bail-outs; it's a real test of any cyclist! As with the 100 milers, you’ll ascend Moody and Page Mill, Cross Skyline to descend the spectacular W. Alpine Rd to the famous Rest Stop in La Honda. You’ll then climb over Haskins Hill and descend through cool redwoods out to Puente in Pescadero for your third stop before turning north via Stage Rd. Leave the coast and take a quick break at the Bike Hut stop to get refueled and ready before you ascend Tunitas Creek Rd and the nearly 2000 ft gain through miles of second growth redwoods up to Skyline. We have your sixth and last Rest Stop at our shaded site the Sequoias, just 10 miles from the Fun Finish at Foothill College! 72 mi Ride w/GPS Map and Profile Rider Cap: 300 Registration Fee: $105.
** TWO NEW ROUTES for 2018!
We had to cancel last years “Mixed-Terrain” route at the last minute due to the wet winter’s damage on the route so we’re offering a new one! This years 68 mile route includes multiple "Mixed Terrain” sections totaling 9.1 miles! The route starts off with 5 short MixT sections before the first Rest Stop, then you ascend Alpine Rd (w/2.4 miles of MixT) up to Skyline, descend W Alpine down thru the redwoods to the famous La Honda Rest Stop! You then head west to the coast, pause at the Bike Hut, then ascend Purisima Ck Trail (4.2 mi of MixT) back up to Skyline! The return leg is all paved through the last Rest Stop to Foothill. Your proficient unpaved road handling skills and maybe a “gravel grinder” bike with 28’s or wider so leave your skinny 23’s and race wheels at home for this challenging and unique ride. You’ll enjoy 6 Rest Stops, and the two longer MixT sections are climbs mostly on wider fire/access roads with very short sections of narrow trail. "Mixed Terrain" is defined as gravel or dirt roads and paths. The remaining 56.8 miles of this route is on good ol’ tarmac shared with cars and stuff, but it’s all really beautiful cycling! 68 mi Ride w/GPS 67 Mix T Map Rider Cap: 49 Registration Fee: $100.
Last year’s short/easy route was....neither, so we’ve dialed it back just a pinch to a more palatable 44 miles and 4460 ft gain. You’ll depart from Foothill after the other riders, climb Moody, descend Page Mill, take Arastradero west to Alpine then turn north. This new route takes a pleasant tour of the Portola Valley/Westridge area before your first Rest Stop at The Sequoias, 12 miles out. You’ll then travel north through beautiful downtown Woodside and climb up into and through redwood studded Huddart Co. Park before rejoining Kings Mountain Road all the way up to Skyline at just over 2000 ft! After your well-deserved Ridge-top Rest Stop, just ahead of the longer riders, you’ll return back down Kings Mtn. then to The Sequoias Stop and (mostly) the same way you came out, back to the Fun Finish at Foothill College! 44 mi Ride w/GPS Map and Profile Rider Cap: 151 Registration Fee: $75.

Awesome ride!!! Definitely doing this again next year and hopefully more years to come....The rest stops are great. - Rasco
Great event, outstanding support that made a difficult route doable even for first time Sequoia Century rider like me. Highly recommended. See you next year! - Roland
This is a great Century ride - scenery, great food, beautiful roads and a nice amount of challenging climbing. The rest stop at the top of Tunitas - with a coke and a smile was great.....the post-ride food was excellent. - Carolyn
