Sequoia FIESTA Ride

To thank our volunteers, we've put together a few enjoyable route options with a unique local rest stop location, followed by an appreciative and social post-ride gathering! This year, we're partnering with the Pescadero community (Puente and others) so that we can get to know each other better.

The rides include three choices that start and end in Pescadero and one that starts and ends in Palo Alto (Gunn HS).  The three Pescadero rides start at the Pescadero High School where parking, snacks and bike repair support will be provided.  The rides will traverse the quiet & bucolic south coastal region down to the delightful Pie Ranch and beyond!  You’ll travel west to Bean Hollow Rd and south on Hwy 1 to the first regroup @ Pidgeon Point Lighthouse.  You'll then continue south to the Año Nuevo State Reserve and your next regroup at the interpretive center.  From there travel south to the Pie Ranch where delectable locally made snacks and drinks await!   The B route will return north (inland) via Gazos Creek and Cloverdale Rd.  The longer routes continue south with a regroup at Swanton Rd and the C+D riders will take on the Bonny Doon Rd. climb!   The fourth ride enables volunteers to ride from Palo Alto to Pescadero.  All these rides have their departure times set to finish as close to noon as possible, and are open to Sequoia Volunteers only - click here to register for the fiesta.
