LDT FRIDAY RIDE: AMERICAN RIVER BIKEWAY

C-/2(1000’)/32  

Come a bit early for the Placerville LDT Weekend and enjoy a leisurely jaunt along the beautiful Jedidiah Smith Bikeway. This is flat to rolling ride, mostly on wooded paved bike trails following the American River east of Sacramento. We’ll loop by Folsom Dam and Folsom Lake. After the ride it is a 45 minute drive to Placerville. This is an afternoon ride that will meet at 11:15 am for a 11:30 am departure. This is social paced C ride but faster riders are welcome to form a separate ride group at the start if desired. No lunch break, but bring snacks or a sandwich to eat at regroups. Rain cancels. MEETING TIME:11:15 am for 11:30 departure

MEETING LOCATION:Meet at Hagen Community Center (2197 Chase Drive, Rancho Cordova, CA). From Hwy 50 take exit 15 (Mather Field Road), L on Mather Field Road, R on Folsom Blvd., L on Coloma Road, L on Chase Drive, R to parking area by restrooms (free parking on weekdays).

 

COVID INFORMATION

There is risk in all gatherings, since people without symptoms can transmit COVID-19. Participation in club rides is voluntary. Do not join club rides if you are sick (eg. cough, sore throat, fever, loss of smell). Members assume the full and complete risk that is associated with exposure to and infection by COVID-19 during such participation. 

Riders are required to follow CA CDPH Guidelines  for face coverings. These guidelines require mask use based on vaccination status. Fully vaccinated individuals are not required to wear facemasks during normal outdoor activities involved in a WW ride. When visiting any indoor location (restaurants/restrooms) or stopping at an event (festival/farmers market, etc) riders must follow CA CPDH guidelines. All riders must carry a face covering to be worn when required. Unvaccinated individuals are required to wear face coverings at the start of each ride and whenever physical distancing (6 feet) cannot be maintained.
