C-/4/37 – 50/50

  • Sat, December 12, 2020
  • 11:15 AM
  • Redwood Shores parking lot west side of Oracle headquarters

I am calling this ride 50/50 because it’s half last Saturday’s route with 50% new roads. This time we start with new climbs through Belmont and San Mateo, and then make our way over to Burlingame and Hillsborough and make 2 of last week’s climbs. Some other changes. 1) A bit faster pace. 2) No lunch stop, so bring some snacks for our regroups. 3) Later start so we let the roads dry out after forecast overnight rain and perhaps it’s a bit warmer. Notice that Ride with GPS says this route has 4585 ft. of climb. I just rode this route today and my barometer equipped altimeter shows 3600 ft. But we can see if the group wants to skip the last hill.

Meet Mark Mack (mamack@comcast.net or 925-207-4993) at 11:15 am for a 11:30 am start. We will meet in Redwood Shores at the parking lot on the west side of Oracle headquarters. Take 101 to the Ralston/Marine Parkway exit and go east - toward the big green Oracle buildings. Turn left on Oracle Parkway (stoplight before you get to the buildings) and turn left at the first intersection (stop sign) into the parking lot.
