Want to do some climbing, but you're not so fast? Maybe you were once fast, but now you're slower? Out of shape because of covid? New rider who wants to try some fun climbs? Join me at 9:30 in the parking lot behind the Pioneer Hotel in Woodside for a stately ride up Kings Mountain, a beautiful climb that should have little motorized traffic on a weekday morning. From Tripp Road at the base of Kings, to the top, at a B pace, we're supposed to maintain a stately average pace of 4.3 mph or better, and take an hour and six minutes to get to the top (not counting stops, which we'll have). Bikes with low gears are advised for our stately 4 mph progress. Bring a snack for the top of the climb. Anne Paulson, Anne.Paulson@gmail.com
