Portola Valley loop to Woodside, lovely riding up the peninsula, then steep STEEP Sweeney Ridge climb to great views of the Pacific Ocean, and a rest stop at mile 35. Bring food, or buy, for a quick lunch at Lunardi's at mile 40. Inclement weather will shorten the ride.
