6:30 pm Pizza/ 7 pm Movie

Do you like bikes? How about movies, popcorn and pizza?

If so, this event is for you!

Wadjda is the fourth movie in our Bike Film Series.  The event is free to Western Wheeler members and their guests.  The Club will be providing pizza, popcorn and drinks.

Please register so that we know how many to expect and how much pizza and popcorn to get.

Wadjda is a movie of firsts. This first feature film shot entirely in Saudi Arabia is the story of a young girl living in a suburb of Riyadh determined to raise enough money to buy a bike in a society that sees bicycles as dangerous to a girl's virtue. Even more impressive, Wadjda is the first feature film made by a female Saudi filmmaker. In a country where cinemas are banned and women cannot drive or vote, writer-director Haifaa Al Mansour broke many barriers with her film.

Running Time: 1 hour  38 minutes    Wadjda Trailer

If you are able to help out with set up, clean up or by bringing beverages email: events@westernwheelers.org to volunteer. Thank you!
