NOTE CAMPING REGISTRATION DEADLINE! Join us for our annual spring campout and some spectacular riding north of the Russian River. This is a hilly ride for all groups (B riders should be fairly strong B riders). After wandering North along Austin Creek Road, B riders will take the direct route to the coast over hilly Fort Ross Road then descend beautiful Meyers Grade. C/D/E riders will climb the breath-taking King Ridge Rd. Bring food and enough water for 35 to 45 miles between facilities, as potential lunch stops are near the end of the ride. Rain cancels. Online route sheets/maps/gps. See additional ride listings for Friday and Sunday.

INFO: Guy Shuman (shumansteiner@gmail.com or 650-704-0895).

MEETING TIME: 9:15 am for 9:30 departure

MEETING LOCATION: Gold Coast Coffee & Bakery (25377 Steelhead Blvd, Duncans Mills, CA). Take 101 North to Santa Rosa, exit on River Rd heading West. Follow River Rd into Guerneville. Go straight at the stop sign in Guerneville. Note: In Guerneville River Rd becomes Main St, then Main St becomes River Rd/Hwy 116. Continue on River Rd/Hwy 116 to Duncans Mills. Turn Left on Moscow Rd. Park on the street - not in front of the merchants. Driving time from Palo Alto is about 2.5 hours. There is a restroom at the start.

ACCOMMODATIONS:  We have reserved a nice group campsite (limited to 40 campers) at Casini Ranch Campground (casiniranch.com) for Friday and Saturday nights, which is less than a mile from the Saturday ride start and only 2.5 miles from the Sunday start in Monte Rio (information/rates below). We encourage camping, but for hotels there are several small hotels/B&B’s in Monte Rio. Occidental Hotel (3610 Bohemian Hwy, Occidental, CA) is about 10 miles away in Occidental (occidentalhotel.com). We’ll have happy hour and a potluck BBQ at Casini Ranch Campground on Saturday evening (also open to anyone staying in other accommodations). On Sunday our ride will start in Monte Rio (note later ride start time on Sunday).

CAMPING:  Unfortunately camping fees at Casini Ranch have gone up substantially for 2020. Our group campsite requires advance registration/payment – full payment is required by 4/20/20.  No refunds (or transfers) after Monday 4/20/20 for any reason.

Cost - $60 per person (total for 2 nights)
