Another very difficult climb.  We’ll cycle through the Alabama Hills in route to the climb.  Looking ahead, you’ll see the giant switchbacks on the flanks of the Sierras.  This is the steepest section but has some of the best views on earth of Owens Valley.  A false summit is followed by a short descent before climbing resumes to Horseshoe Meadows (el. 10,080').  Option to do 39 miles and 5,800’ of climbing. Meet at the Best Western Frontier Motel, 1008 S. Main St., Lone Pine, CA. at 8:15 am for a prompt 8:30 departure. Carry your lunch and a lot of water on the ride.   For more information contact Guy Neenan (guyneenan@gmail.com) or Dick and Donna Matthews (rmatthews1942@gmail.com)   Please let Guy or Dick know if you will be joining this ride.   This ride is co-listed with ACTC.
