Do a nice short 22-mile loop at high altitude to start things off. It’s an extremely scenic loop around June Lake. We’ll ride June Lake Rd. clockwise. When we reach the northerly junction with Hwy 395 we will have the option to turn-about to return the way you came without doing the 6 miles on Hwy 395 (if you turn around your mileage for the ride will be 32 miles). Or do the entire 57-mile ride with an out and back from the Hotel in Mammoth Lakes. For the long route meet in front of the High Sierra Hotel, 3228 Main Street in Mammoth Lakes at 8:15 for a prompt 8:30 departure. For the short route to avoid 18 miles on US 395, meet at June Lake Junction of Hwy 395 and state route 158 (el. 7,701 ft) at 10:00 am to jump on the train of riders that have ridden from Mammoth Lakes. Buy lunch at the end of the ride.
