Morning Montebello D/4/25.

The reward for an early start is a beautiful sunrise.

We’ll ride to the top of black mountain from the Montebello side for a panoramic sunrise. There will be little or no traffic for the first half of the ride. The final pitch of this ride to the summit takes place on hard-packed gravel and is suitable for road bikes.

Special Instructions: Dress in layers and be prepared for mid-ride temperature changes. The climb up the mountain will keep you warm, and the descents can be cold. This ride starts in darkness and suitable lighting is required. Set any lights to non-blink for the part of the ride that is in darkness, and ensure that any taillights point toward the horizon. Sunrise is at 7:10am. There will be no moonlight.

Meet Robert Sexton (408) 218-8466, robert@kudra.com at 5:30 AM at the Donut Wheel on De Anza (10250 N De Anza Blvd, Cupertino, CA 95014)
