  • Flexibility is greatly appreciated. Carpools suggested for some locs; noted below.
  • person should be prepared to park some distance from shift location
  • PLEASE NOTE: You must have a vehicle with a rack that can transport two or more riders with bikes. Shifts will be assigned.

How to Register

1. Review the volunteer activities from the list below.  The descriptions will change as the captains review and modify the needs.

2. Register by clicking on the [Register] button in the left column.

3. The confirmation letter of your volunteer registration will contain information about your volunteer gift .  To register for more than one activity, simply click [Register] again, then [New Registration].

DAY of Ride Sunday, June 2

SAGS & Safety

Safety Monitors. Serve 3 hour shifts at locations requiring extra caution or directional information. Some are located at rest stops, while others are located on route, i.e. where riders make left turns across traffic. 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM Jon Silver.  Descriptions on the Safety locations are here. SAG. Drivers follow assigned route to assist riders. SAG volunteers can be passengers in cars or drive alone and may be accompanied by a radio volunteer. Each driver can expect to drive 100-200 miles over the course of a 3-hour shift. You will carry a pump, repair parts (tires, tubes and cables), light snacks and water, all except water, supplied by the club. Drivers can receive a payment of $25 to defray the cost of gasoline. The SAG team captain will schedule the drivers and routes.  Robert Sexton
