C,D/3/60 FFS#3-DEVILS SLIDE AND TUNITAS CREEK

  • Sat, September 22, 2018
  • 8:45 AM
  • Behind the Pioneer Hotel in Woodside
Join us for a coastal loop starting in Woodside.   We'll head north via Canada, Crystal Springs, and Skyline.   We'll descend Sharp park to Pacifica before heading south over Devils slide to Half Moon Bay for lunch.   The Devils slide tunnel is a fun option for riders who are already familiar with the coastal view.    Prevailing southerly winds can make for a fast run down the coast.   Return to after lunch via Lobitos Creek and Tunitas Creek, and then via Kings Mountain road to Woodside.

There will also be a Mixed-terrain route.    It climbs from Half Moon Bay to Skyline via the beautiful Purissima Creek trail and descends Kings to Woodside.

Special Instructions: Approximately 8 miles of this route is on the Sawyer Camp Trail.    Sawyer Camp is a mixed-use trail and can be congested in the areas that connect to parking.    While on the trail, ride single file no closer than a bike length to the rider in front of you, at a modest, consistent speed.  Be alert to your surroundings and prepared to stop at all times.

Meet behind the Pioneer Hotel in Woodside at 8:45 am in time for a 9:00 departure.  Questions?  Robert Sexton (robert@kudra.com) (408) 218-8466
