UPDATE Thursday 3/15/18: 

The forecast remains about the same... rainy/showery Friday with sunny and cool weather Saturday (with only a slight chance of showers on Saturday). High temperatures Saturday are expected to be about 55-58 degrees. Sunday is expected to be partly cloudy and a little warmer than Saturday.

LDT RIDE: HEALDSBURG GEYSERS LOOP

This loop for strong riders traverses the traditional Geysers Loop in a clockwise direction, starting in Healdsburg. This remote route has no services from Mile 17 to Mile 50, so riders must be self-sufficient and prepared for 50 miles/4500’ before lunch! Come prepared for an assault on the Geysers, a marvelous tree-shaded 16 mile climb. There is one very steep section (1.5 miles at about 18%).  As a reward for their climbing efforts, riders will experience a sweeping 10-mile descent back to the valley floor before lunch at Jimtown Store. After lunch D riders can go directly to Healdsburg (57 miles) or climb beautiful Pine Flat Road, either to the Rob Roy Flat Overlook (6 mile climb) or the end of the road (11 mile climb). E riders climb Pine Flat, then take a longer loop south past Shiloh Park. Rain cancels. Online route sheets/maps/gps. Meet at 8:15 am for an 8:30 departure.
