LDT RIDE: HEALDSBURG WEEKEND (FORMERLY GEYSERVILLE)

  • B/3(3000’)/43;
  • C/3.5(4800’)/57;
  • D/4(6500’)/71

(Formerly known as GEYSERVILLE WEEKEND) All rides start in downtown Healdsburg, allowing riders to cruise to the start from their hotels in Healdsburg. The new routes also allow easy shortcuts if weather or fatigue necessitate. All routes climb Geysers Road from the East side. All riders will climb the first big ascent to the “Three Ranches” viewpoint (passing through two short gravel sections). C/D riders continue across the summit area (involving another steep climb) before U-Turning and returning to Jimtown Store for lunch. After lunch D riders climb beautiful Pine Flat Road, either to the Rob Roy Flat Overlook (6 mile climb) or the end of the road (11 mile climb). All riders return via beautiful Dry Creek and West Dry Creek roads. All routes have out-n-back climbs, so are easy to shortcut if desired (see route sheets/GPS maps). C/D’s ride 35 miles and climb up to 4500 feet before lunch so riders need to bring whatever food/water is necessary to get them to lunch. Rain cancels. Online route sheets/maps/gps. (See additional ride listing for D/E GEYSERS LOOP.)
