**CANCELLED* C+/D/4+!/44 SEQUOIA 2017-NEW 44 mile Route Preview!

This ride is cancelled due to forecast of rain on Sunday!

Meet Frank Houghton (312-479-4790 or fphoughton@att.net) at 9:45 for a 10 am start at Foothill College Parking Lot 3,  under the solar panels. (please note there’s a $3 parking fee to park on campus) This ride is the new "Easy Route" for the 2017 Sequoia at 44 miles and 5500 ft elevation gain! We will exit campus and climb Moody Rd and Page Mill Rd. We'll descend West Alpine to a snack break at the La Honda store. The route continues up Hwy 84 to Old La Honda and down to Portola Rd. There will be a brief stop to see  the new Rest Stop site, at The Sequoias on Willowbrook. The final challenge will be Upper Alpine and the always fun Joaquin Rd climb. After the Los Trancos descent, return to Foothill via Arastradero, Page Mill and Altamont. Rainy conditions or very wet roads cancels.
