Join Eben Haber (eben@habers.us, 650-862-3236) at 9:30am at the bottom of Redwood Gulch (corner of Redwood Gulch and Steven’s Canyon Rd) for a leisurely (really!) C-paced ride over to Boulder Creek and back. It’s my birthday so I’m taking the day off and leading a ride over the hill to make sure that I’m not yet completely over the hill. The route starts with a slog up to skyline, but continues with my favorite descent (Castle Peak to Bear Creek Road), and down to Boulder Creek for lunch. The return goes up 236 back to 9 and Redwood Gulch. Bring layers for the descents, and water for the ascents. Parking for 3 cars is available at the bottom of Redwood Gulch, a few more cars in the first hundred yards of Redwood Gulch on the right, and if necessary even more at my house at the end of Stevens Canyon Road.
