Meet Howard Shafer (408 712-4573 or jhshafer@sbcglobal.net) at the Sunnyvale Community Center in Sunnyvale at 9:15 am for a 9:30 am departure. We’ll follow bike paths wherever possible all the way to Fremont and back. The Dumbarton Bridge will be the biggest hill. We’ll eat lunch in the East Bay (bring or buy) and then follow a rural route past Milpitas and Alviso on the way back to Sunnyvale, completing a circle. The starting time is a little early to avoid the hottest part of the day. Hot weather will slow us down.
